A digital painting of Obi-Wan in shadow... from a reference pic, of course. In Photoshop, with wacom tablet, about two hours, maybe, from start to finish. Reduced 75% from original size to fit on screen.

I really like this one. :D

Wow! That looks awesome! I didn't know you could do realistic-style.
Well, usually only when I have a reference... otherwise my style is rather cartoony, as you know :p I've done some more realistic work, like the Obi-Wan, older-Anakin, Luke piece, which was done in black and white... The colors and shadows on this one were ripe for doing an impressionist-style painting, though!

Thanks so much for the comment, I'm glad you like it :D

Zombies are people too. Dead people.
Oooo!  Beautiful!! Love the lighting--very soft and moody--and the way you handled the hair and beard are amazing! His eyes might be just a touch too close together (the 3/4 view can be tough sometimes), but I think the rest of the face is perfect--what gorgeous shading! The "painterly" technique works so well for this--just the way it flows on his facial planes...beautiful! Love it!

I love the way You use colors, shades, tones etc.
That's really magnifficent.
The pose of his head and his look - Really delicious.
And I'm bit sorry for myself, that You didn't draw it as normal portrait (normal size of forehead, head-shape) - It would be even MORE magnifficent I think.
On the other hand, You have Your uniqe style - And that's great too.
What can I say... I'm taking it to Favs :D Good job, my dear!

I've got wonderful news for You!
Your dreams will come true!! Really!!! :D
 Thanks so much! I'm glad you like the more impressionistic part of it. And, yes, it is hard capture more unfamiliar angles perfectly :p

I *tried* to capture the shape of his face as it looked in the picture-- I may not have done that perfectly, though. :p I'm glad you like the shading a lot, though, and thank you so much for the fave!

I really like your raw art style. I can't do that - squiggle lines and yet have the picture turn out good - so I look up to those who can pull it off.
